Although this past year I have always believed myself to be a survivor, I have spent time researching the how's, why's and what for's of cancer and what it takes to be healthy. I've studied diet, what to put in and what not to put in. How to work that body, shake that booty, use it or loose it. Oh yes, the stress factor, how to destress, decompress and just say Aha....breathe in, one more, deeper, breathe out, let it all go.
We don't always get a second chance, so when we do we can't waste what we've learned and must grab on to change with gusto.
We have seen alot of changes this past year with alot more to come. I want to share a quote my sister sent me a while back that has become my moto.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out and proclaiming,
'Wow, what a ride!"
I want to take a moment to send my love and thanks to my husband, family and friends who have stood by me with prayers, hugs, cards, words of encourgment, hand holding, laughter, listened to me complain and for just being there when I needed a smile. I love you all!
Here is to our one year Anniversary ......Cheers
