Cancer Free ? YES !

Saw Doc Kenyan yesterday, my chemo doctor, for a check-up.  My lab test came back improved , every thing in the normal range except my white and red blood cell count still a bit below norm. My prognoses is excellent, he even said I'm cancer free (at this moment). Your future looks bright, keep up the good work, you're doing great. BUT, oh that proverbial but, it will take a year for the nerve sheaths to reach your toes as they only grow an inch per month so your feet will be numb. As for your foggy brain that my take some time to become clear (okay maybe or not) and for your immune system to build up a strong army of fighters.

Man, what a life changer this cancer stuff is. I feel like I've stepped over some invisible threshold and  now have to learn how to live a different life. There is no going back, no do-overs, life as it was is no longer! You have spent a year on the battlefield, fighting for your life and now you have to learn how to care for, nourish and love this life you have saved.

Before me a new stage, the curtain is raising and you only have right now, so today I will eat healthy and move my ass.  I will meditate, find my inner calm and give myself a big hug ..... I love you, job well done.
